Last September my mother died very unexpectedly.\u00a0 As my parents are divorced, my sister and I had to start clearing out her house.\u00a0 Most of the material items don’t mean very much to me, but some of the small items bring back a lot of memories.\u00a0 I now have several boxes with memorabilia of bith the family Scheffer and Garage Scheffer, a NSU dealership in the town of Hilversum, which is actually the place where I was born.<\/p>\n

During\u00a0the 25th International NSU Treffen in Borculo (2005)<\/a> and\u00a0the 25th anniversary of the NSU Club Nederland<\/a>, my mother was the contact person for the ex-dealers we had invited to these events.\u00a0 Many of them provided our club with items from a time long past, and those had been stored with her.\u00a0 Last weekend, I handed them over to the club, and some of them will be used in the NSU exhibition in the Automuseum Schagen.<\/p>\n

Apart from NSU, she had three passions: gardening, photography, and family history.\u00a0 These combined created an archive with. amongst much else. about 20.000 photo’s.\u00a0 Some are digital, but many still developed chemically and printed.\u00a0\u00a0 Today I scanned some images which made nice addition to the collection I was building.\u00a0 It will take quite some time to process all photo’s, but here are some nice ones:<\/p>\n
