New moped: Quickly L (1958)

Being too busy as the secretary of the NSU Club Nederland, I had no time to get my first, dutch-built Quickly L into the state I wanted. Then I spotted a very nicely rebuilt one on eBay. The price was right, so I started bidding. And became the owner at a very good end price.

While on it, I became the highest bidder on a second Quickly this seller had put up; so now my wife can drive a unrestored 1960 Quickly N.

This Quicky L is in a perfect state – it requires no work to run, and will be hard to improve. I have a feeling that the red color is not the proper Korallenrot, but as this color combination is pretty rare, hardly anybody will notice.

I had seen this combination before, in an advertisement. The advert shows a hand-colored black/white picture, but it always appealed to me as you do not see this combination very often.
