Transport Day, Milton Keynes (UK)

after breakfast, it was a quick hop back to the museum.  Roger, Glenn and Rosie all made me feel welcome again.  The sun was starting to push through the clouds, and slowly the other NSU’s started to roll in.  Sadly most Quickly’s came on a trailer or in the back of a car.  But after my kamikaze-ride Saturday on the A-roads I could not blame anyone.  Especially not since they showed up at all.  In the end there were around 30 Quickly’s, which is definitely a good number.

When I heard two Maxes come onto the grounds, I positioned myself behind the bikes.  When the helmets came off I surprised Alex and Dave with a “Good morning, gentlemen”.  I think they recognized the voice, but could not believe I was actually there.

As expected I got the price for the Furthest Ridden Quickly.
Note to Roger: the T-shirt made some people jealous the next weekend !!

I really enjoyed the event and the vehicles on display.  I have been around vehicle my whole life, but saw quite some new things.  Will definitely join this event again in a couple of years.
