Restauration completed

Early 2006 I shipped the bike to someone to have him do the restoration for me. The bike was still in the same state as two years before, and I simply had too many projects to do. The guy was going to do the whole restoration; I only needed to make sure he got the parts and arrange the re-chroming myself.

Thus week I got a call; if I could come pick up my Quickly? Sure! I hopped in the car and was greeted by a bright and shiny new bike – it is hard to imagine it’s the same machine I handed in a year before.
It got some minor improvements over the original:

  • The improved shift claws for it’s 3 gear engine
  • The improved gear axel with the rounded teeth (for “automatic” adjustment
  • The 5-plate clutch from the F model

With the great fresh paintwork and mirror-like chrome, it’s now better then new.
